Gaius is for adults only. You must be 18 years or older to use this service. By using Gaius, you confirm that you are at least 18.
2. What Gaius is
Gaius is an AI companion that offers a supportive space to talk. It is software, not a person, and not a medical, mental health, or emergency service. See our AI Disclosure.
3. No medical or clinical advice
Gaius does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and does not provide medical or medication advice. Nothing Gaius says is a substitute for evaluation or care by a qualified professional.
4. No therapist client relationship
Conversations with Gaius do not create a therapist client, doctor patient, or any professional relationship. Gaius is not your therapist, counselor, or clinician, and no such duty is owed.
5. Emergencies
Gaius cannot intervene in a crisis or dispatch emergency help. If you are in danger or a crisis, contact 988, 911, or text HOME to 741741 immediately.
6. Use at your own risk
You use Gaius at your own risk. You are responsible for your own decisions and should not rely on Gaius for critical or safety decisions. If you are struggling, seek qualified professional help.
7. Acceptable use
You agree to use Gaius lawfully and respectfully, and not to misuse it to seek harm, harm others, obtain diagnosis or medication advice, or for anyone under 18. We may suspend access for violations.
8. Limitation of liability
The service is provided as is without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for harms arising from use of or reliance on Gaius.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
